Subject to ordinance 7-7-1, a request to close all or part of a street requires the issuance of a Street Use Permit. The timetable for submitting the form depends on the level of services you require from the Village and is denoted on the form.
Subject to ordinance 5-1-8, planned assemblies of 500 or more people are subject to obtaining a permit at least 60 days in advance. You will need to provide detailed plans for various aspects of the event you are planning to enable the Village to plan and respond accordingly. Failure to obtain a permit may result in a forfeiture of $1,000 to $10,000 per day of violation.
Ordinance allows for the operation of golf carts on certain Village roadways. Golf carts must be registered with the Village and be inspected to insure they have specific safety equipment installed. Registration may be completed online or at Village Hall.
